Armenian Christmas is on 6 January, just after the New Year holidays; New Year is the main gifting moment.
How companies in Armenia give year-end gifts
In Armenia, New Year is the main occasion for corporate gifts and staff celebrations. The New Year holidays begin on 31 December, and on 6 January the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates Christmas together with Epiphany. Companies give gift sets, sweets and branded items to staff and partners in late December. Armenian brandy and wine are traditional gifts, and alcohol is generally acceptable. Russian and English are widely used alongside Armenian in business. Because many offices slow down in the first days of January, gifts should arrive before 30 December. For international partners, English cards are acceptable, and a short greeting in Armenian is a courteous addition. Chocolate gift boxes, tea and quality sweets are common corporate gifts, and branded calendars and desk items are used for wider client lists. Because December logistics are busy and many offices slow down after 30 December, order early.
